Visiting Us

Quex Museum, House & Gardens lie at the heart of Quex Park on the southern boundary of Birchington, a coastal village west of Margate in Kent, about 75 miles from London, 12 miles from the historic city of Canterbury and 4 miles from the ferry port of Ramsgate .

By road: from London take the M2, or from Canterbury the A28, and follow signs for Margate. As you enter Birchington, Quex Museum (the Powell-Cotton Collection) is clearly signposted alongside All Saints Church (which is on your left). Turn right into Park Lane following directions to Acol. The entrance to Quex Park and the Museum is half a mile along on the left.

By rail: The journey from London Victoria to Birchington-on-Sea takes around one and three quarter hours. The pleasant one-mile walk along Station Road and Park Lane takes about twenty minutes, although taxis are available.

By bus: Thanet’s No.8 bus stops at Birchington Square. The half-mile walk along Park Lane and into Quex Park takes under ten minutes.
