THE FORGOTTEN FRONTLINE
If you know where to look, the traces of war are still to be found along the Kent coastline. All still there 70 years after the Second World War began - for the north Kent coast was once part of Britain’s frontline. Concrete blocks, known as dragons’ teeth were sown in the ground in their hundreds to stop tanks. Some remain, like rotting teeth..... more on The forgotten Frontline exhibition.

| Description: | THE SUMMER SHAKESPEARE TOUR; THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, DIRECTED BY ROB FORKNALL The Hazlitt and Changeling will be twinkling this summer with their tenth outdoor Shakespeare! Set in the 1950’s with Skiffle songs and quiffs, this show promises to be a romp around sunny England. It’s the story of three ladies, their husbands and the randy old man; Falstaff, who’s after their money... and more! Commissioned by Elizabeth I, Shakespeare wrote this play rather quickly. Set in Windsor, it’s one of the only English comedies Shakespeare wrote, and was the Only Fools and Horses of its time. With brand new music composed by Dougal Irvine you will enjoy a good old Rock’n’Roll night! Bring your own picnic, relax in our beautiful gardens. |
