Our Objective for Education at Quex Museum

"in trust for the enjoyment of visitors and the benefit of students"

Our founder’s wish was to enable people to develop a richer understanding of the African cultures and natural history and from there the world in general.

Education at Quex Museum supports a wide range of learners including families, school visitors and academics. This is achievable through our unparalleled displays of African wildlife and world class collection of objects from across Africa and Asia.

Education at Quex Museum provides a learning environment that is family friendly and still supportive of continuing research in the natural and social sciences.

Education at Quex Museum offers

The diversity of our collections and our flexibility in approach are our core strengths: we can organise anything from mask-making sessions for infants through to full study days for university fashion students.

Everyone is welcome at Quex Museum and we do all we can to open your eyes to the possibilities for learning within our galleries, house and garden. We have some suggested topics for study within our resources section but they are neither exhaustive nor prescriptive.

Family Activities

We have events and activities throughout our summer months to provide entertainment for our family visitors.  Our special events page has the latest news.
